The Mary Hunt Limited Embroidery Collection for St. Baldrick's Foundation
"Hi! My name is Ester Calvo Fernández. I am a PhD candidate in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine at Columbia University. My roots will always be in Spain, but my heart has been set to discover the cure for childhood cancer, specifically for diseases in the brain. Cancers are diagnosed in 1 in 285 children before their 20th birthday. St. Baldricks's is one of the most impactful non-profits focusing on raising awareness for pediatric cancers and funding research to find cures for these infants, children, teens, and young adults. As a St. Baldrick's fellow, the importance of funding to advance new therapies is something I experience firsthand, which is why I am committed to giving back this year to support St. Baldrick's great mission. I am excited to partner with AmorSui to create a one of a kind, classic, but inspirational embroidered Mary Hunt face mask. These products are soft, moisture-wicking, fire-resistant, go well with everything, and most importantly help us protect each other going into this year's flu season. We are donating the proceeds of this limited embroidery collection to St. Baldrick's great cause. I hope you join me in the mission to save the lives of children in need and provide more opportunities for scientists to accelerate innovation for future generations."

In 1940, Mary Hunt helped save the world by discovering a strain of Penicillium bacteria in cantaloupe, which would go on to be used in the first antibiotic. Today, the Mary Hunt Face Mask is here to help us protect each other from spreading viruses and germs. The inherent FR fabric provides fire protection for workers in pyrophoric settings where synthetic fabrics and cotton may melt under exposure to fire and heat. The Mary Hunt is constructed from a double-layered bi-component knit, which is scientifically proven to pull moisture away from the surface of the skin, keeping your face cool and breathable. The minimal ergonomic design with only one seam allows for comfortable long wear and is great for activities that require moving around. The mask is designed to be worn alone as a face covering or with a surgical mask for additional fire protection.
